Superbly well crafted Connemara marble sterling silver Claddagh pendant. The Claddagh design originated from a Gaelic speaking fishing village on the shore of Galway bay. The traditional thatched roof cottages of the village were made of rye straw. The women of the village sold their husbands catch of fish in the Galway market wearing their traditional Galway shawls. This symbolic design is part of Galway’s cultural history and is worn for love loyalty and friendship.
